A Day in the Life

I spent an entire day with this lovely family a few weeks ago! As you can see, we had a lot of fun, and we ended up with a lot of really great images from the day. I met Stephanie at a networking event for wedding industry professionals that I was photographing. We chatted a little bit and she told me about this crazy idea (she thought it was crazy, I thought it was awesome) she had to have a photographer document a whole day in her family's life. I was so excited about the idea and said I would absolutely love to do it! It ended up working out, and I got to capture all of the little moments that make up a single day in the life of this beautiful family. This post is a little longer than usual because I just had too many favorites, I couldn't narrow it down any more.

I'm so happy I could be a part of the family for a day and capture all of the quiet, loud, fun, silly moments.

The Rose Family

Meet the Roses! These guys are actually my boyfriend's family, so I was a tiiiiny bit nervous to take their family pictures, because what if I messed it up? That, and I didn't want them to think I was bossy after 30 minutes of me telling them what to do. Haha, but in all seriousness, the session turned out great! It was fun and easy. I spent Thanksgiving with them this year (first time without my family which was sad, but I was so grateful they took me in for the holiday), so we found some time and a great location (although going into the barn may not have been the safest idea... it was just so cool though I couldn't help myself) to take some time and do a few family portraits during the holiday.

This was also the first time I shot a family with all older kids, which was kind of strange. I'm just so used to spending half the time trying to get everyone to look at the camera. It was pretty nice to not have to worry so much about that and just focus on getting great images. So this was what we came out with! They were so fun to work with and I think you can really tell in the photos!

Maisie and Jerrie

Meet Maisie and Jerrie! No, these are not engagement pictures, they are Christmas pictures! These two are such good friends of mine (Maisie has been one of my roommates for going on 3 years now, which is craziness) and if it weren't for her and Jerrie being together, I would never have met the amazing man I'm with now. So they mean a lot to me. And they asked me a while ago if I would take a photo of the two of them for a Christmas card. Of course!

So this afternoon we took a walk around Andersonville and found a few pretty cute/Christmasy spots to snap some photos. It was unseasonably warm for this first day of December, which was so awesome. They're going to have a hard time choosing just one for that Christmas card!

Love you guys!
