A Day in the Life | Chicago Family Session

I don't get to do a lot of family photography, but when I do, I've determined this is my favorite kind. I spent an entire morning with this beautiful family in their Chicago apartment just hanging out and capturing what makes them who they are. I got a few more formal photos, but the majority of the day consisted of capturing moments. Which is basically what I live for. These are the best kinds of shoots because after the first hour, it's like I'm just a part of the family, and everyone is totally used to the camera, it's like it's not even there. These guys are so great, and I loved getting to spend part of their day with them just having fun at home and exploring the park. I did a day in the life session with them last year as well, and it's just crazy how much these girls grew in just a year. They are quite the pair, and adorable beyond belief as you will see! Thanks guys for hanging out with me, I absolutely loved capturing the spirit of your family!

Sarah + Mike | Madison Engagement

I had the pleasure of spending a seriously gorgeous Sunday afternoon with these two a few weeks ago. Sarah and Mike love the outdoors and are quite the adventurous pair. They took me to a few of their favorite spots in Madison and the fall colors were to die for. We started out at the forest preserve, then made our way to Lake Wingra for some photos that showcase everything Sarah and Mike love about Wisconsin fall. We had so much fun wandering through the forest and spending the afternoon enjoying the weather. Sarah and Mike are such a sweet couple and I can't wait for their wedding next May at the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art!

Erin + Jake | Madison Engagement

A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of meeting Erin and Jake in Madison for an afternoon of engagement photos! The day was absolutely gorgeous. I've seriously gotten lucky with weather this entire year, and I couldn't be happier about it. Like all couples, they were a little nervous at first, but they quickly got used to a camera in their face and forgot I was there. These two are fun and silly and so perfect together. We started out at the Capitol where Jake popped the question! We stopped by The Old Fashioned as well for some photos outside the place they had dinner the night that Erin said yes. We ended the evening at James Madison Park, and right before we were about done, they got out their team football jerseys. Coincidentally enough, the Vikings and the Packers were playing each other that night so they were a little reluctant to show any affection to the opposing team, but of course their love won out over their love for their team. I had a blast with Erin and Jake, and I can't wait for their wedding next August!
