Bella's Princess Party

 

 

Before Christmas I got to shoot this birthday party fit for a princess! All of the little girls wore their favorite princess dresses and had a blast running around at the Lakeview YMCA. Princess crowns were made, glitter tattoos adorned, and piñatas broken. I'm not gonna lie, I may or may not have been singing along with some of the disney songs playing throughout the evening. :)

Elfin Forest Family Session

 Say hello to some of MY family! This is my brother, Todd with his daughter (my ridiculously adorable niece) Ruby, and fiancee Karie! While I was visiting for the holidays I did a quick family session with them and it was super fun. The location is in the Elfin Forest which is this cute little forest with a trail/boardwalk through it right near my parents' new house. My sister had taken me there and I got so excited I wanted to do a photo shoot there. So it was awesome that Todd and Karie were up for a walk with Ruby on a beautiful Sunday morning.

It's nice to be able to do some work in a different part of the country. You don't see this kind of stuff in Chicago! I'm currently going through lots and lots of photos that I took in California over the break and there will be more blog posts to come because I can't keep all of the beautiful scenery and fun to myself!

A Day in the Life

I spent an entire day with this lovely family a few weeks ago! As you can see, we had a lot of fun, and we ended up with a lot of really great images from the day. I met Stephanie at a networking event for wedding industry professionals that I was photographing. We chatted a little bit and she told me about this crazy idea (she thought it was crazy, I thought it was awesome) she had to have a photographer document a whole day in her family's life. I was so excited about the idea and said I would absolutely love to do it! It ended up working out, and I got to capture all of the little moments that make up a single day in the life of this beautiful family. This post is a little longer than usual because I just had too many favorites, I couldn't narrow it down any more.

I'm so happy I could be a part of the family for a day and capture all of the quiet, loud, fun, silly moments.
